There are at least 25 public and private campgrounds and RV sites in the South Okanagan for camping enthusiasts. The camping season stretches from early April to mid-October with some year round facilities. The family-oriented parks offer beachfront and grassed sites, full and partial hookups, hot showers and laundry facilities.

In addition to traditional beach and lake activities, camping and nature enthusiasts flock to the area for bird watching, wildlife viewing, fishing, hiking, golfing, rock climbing, stargazing and photography.
